Pewter Top Console Table

Table with pewter top. Designed in 1931. Pewter plate with decoration of sky and cherubs, base with carved decoration "signed Tage Fougstedt 1931".
Together with Tage Fougstedt's brother Nils, Tage started Fougstedt Tenn in the early 1920s. Tage was employed as a designer at NK and later came to work for Svenskt Tenn, founded by his brother Nils together with Estrid Ericsson in 1924. Pewter Items autographed by Tage Fougstedt are therefore relatively rare.
