History:
The decoration on the 'Paradise' cabinet was executed by Gunnar Erik Ström (1892-1982), painter, draughtsman, graphic artist and sculptor. Gunnar Ström decorated, among other things, the main restaurant for the Gothenburg exhibition in 1923, and the following year was comissioned to paint the ceiling in the Hotel Palace in Gothenburg. Other major commissions included the mirror paintings for the ocean liners M/S Kungsholm (1928) and M/S Stockholm (1948).
