Pair of 'PK-25' Chairs

History:
Poul Kjaerholm designed the 'PK-25' chair during his period at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts. Hans J. Wegner, teacher at the School, presented his students with a final assignment in 1951, asking the students to design furniture for a well known architect's living room. Kjaerholm designed this chair for the living room of architect Halldor Gunnløgsson.
When the chair was seen by Fritz Hansen's Managing Director Søren Hansen it led to Poul Kjærholm being hired by Fritz Hansen. Here, the 'PK 25' chair was put in a very limited production in 1952, where the first three production models ended up with the architect they were intended for all along, Halldor Gunnløgsson.
