Designed for M/S Venus.
History:
Designed for the interior of the resurrected ocean liner M/S Venus. M/S Venus was designed and built in 1931. It was confiscated by the Germans in 1941, sunk during World War II in 1945 and resurrected and restored in 1948. Danish architect Palle Suenson was commissioned to redesign the interior. Suenson brought the newly established Hans Wegner on board for the furniture designs, including the current chair.
