History:
The George Sturge House was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1939. Wright hired John Lautner to oversee construction. It was John Lautner's first job after studying with Wright in Tallesin in the 1930s. In 1968, Lautner was later selected to carry out restorations on the building. Lautner returned in 1979 to oversee a reconstruction.
