Olle Alberius

Sven-Olof (Olle) Alberius (1926-1993) as a prominent Swedish designer, ceramist, and glass artist whose contributions to Scandinavian design are both innovative and timeless. Educated at the Swedish School of Arts, Crafts and Design, Alberius is best known for his work with Rörstrand, one of Sweden's oldest porcelain manufacturers. From 1971, Alberius was working for Orrefors, where he created classic designs such as 'Victoria', but also works in Ariel-and Graal techniques. His work is represented in the collections of, among others, the National Museum in Stockholm, Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and the Corning Museum of Glass.
