Gunnel Nyman (1909–1948) was a Finnish glass designer and pioneer in Scandinavian glass art, known for her innovative and elegant works. She played a significant role in defining Finnish modernism during the mid-20th century. Her distinctive "Aurinkopullo" (Sun Bottle) and "Pyörre" (Whirlpool) designs, among others, exhibit her mastery of fluid forms and light refraction. Nyman's creations are celebrated for their organic shapes and timeless beauty, embodying the spirit of Scandinavian design through their simplicity, functionality, and artistic finesse.
