Marie Louise Idestam-Blomberg

Marie Louise Idetsam-Blomberg (1898-1988) was a sculptor and graphic designer. For a number of year she was also one of the owners of the furnishings business 'Futurum'. She was born in Finland, but moved to Stockholm to study. She was awarded with a golden medal for her chess set at the Paris Exhibition in 1925. Later, she also started to work in cermaic and design in the Swedish city Sigtuna. She is one of the founders of the art association in Sigtuna. Her works are represented in museums such as the National Museum in Stockholm, and the Moderna Museet in Stockholm.
